Dear Sir
I am much obliged to you for yr favor. My enquiry after Lord Fife’s pedigree was mere private curiosity having heard some singular anecdotes concerning it. I hope Mr Low’s journal has reached you for I sent it a month ago to Mr Cadel. Mr Low need not be very precipitate for the complection of the Times are far from favorable to authors any more than the public. I truely lament our approaching loss in Dr Ramsay; but shall rejoice in better news.
I am Dr Sir
your faithful humble
Servt
I fear Mr Gough is ill not having heard from him this long time.
