Editorial notes

1. In view of the reference to 'tutors', this probably refers to a young member of the Mostyn family, possibly Thomas Mostyn, born in 1776.
2. This may refer to Thomas Falconer rather than to Pennant's brother-in-law (from his first marriage), Revd James Falconer.
3. 'Horse'.
4. Cf. E. R. Owen's letter of 4 September 1782 to Pennant, which corrects 'some misinformation respecting Penmaen-mawr', in NLW 2594E, Caernarvonshire folder.
