Dear Sir

To quel the evil passion you so bitterly complain of & which you charge me with raising, shall be my earnest study. What say you if I begin my exorcisms with the loan of any duplicate drawings I may have, which you may cause to be copied & with them lessen your envy malice &c. I will rummage my papers & collect & send to you all I can possible [sic] scrape together.

The oval drawing you mention is a view of the habitable part of Valle crucis abby.

I would most chearfully [sic] permit Moses to copy for you; but I give you my word his time is so fully taken up hasthat. He has not a moments leisure. But if you wish for any particular things out of my book I believe there is an ingenious young man one Ingleby. who would copy them reasonably. I am, Dear Sir,

Yr obliged & faithful humble Sert

Th. Pennant.

Pray excuse the inclosed.1
