Yr favors novr 22d. 28th. 29th came safe. all acceptable. There is an excellent head of Beaton in the Hamilton Lodgings Holyrood house. I saw it with these very eyes.

Mr Mackenzies kind Letter is here answered.1

Why will doctor Blinshall retard matters. but no more of that.

My relation is better I set off for London on Saturday. Write to me No 11 Vere Street Oxford chapel & never mind franks.

Mr Macgovan is like many of yr countrymen most hospitable & good to friends in sight. Doctor Ramsay do. He did promise a sketch of the Danish monumt in Inch colme but alas Love absorbs everything.
