Y^r favors nov^r 22^d. 28^th. 29^th came safe. all acceptable. There is an excellent head of Beaton in the Hamilton Lodgings Holyrood house. I saw it with these very eyes.

My relation is better I set off for London on Saturday. Write to me N^o 11 Vere Street Oxford chapel & never mind franks.

M^r Macgovan is like many of y^r countrymen most hospitable & good to friends in sight. Doctor Ramsay d^o. He did promise a sketch of the Danish monum^t in Inch colme but alas Love absorbs everything.
