y^r kind Letters of the 8^th. & 15^th. ins^t met me here. I am quite angry at y^r thinking of buying any of my works when you have such a just clame to all I can do. but neither vol. can appear before the latter end of. next month.¹ I hope to get Johnstons poems here; so do trouble yourself about them [sic]. Be so good to peruse & then forward the inclosed to M^r Low. I am in much haste.
