                    home. accept my best thanks for the maps &amp;c. I beg you to send me no more
                    birds except you can <hi rend="underline">be sure</hi> they are new: for it
                    brings on me a needless expence of carriage I cannot yet make out the brasses
                        <persName ref="pe0156">M<hi rend="superscript">r</hi> Low</persName> sent.
                    in respect to the other parts of his cargo I was cruelly disappointed. The other
                    things you mention will be very acceptable.</p>
                <p>
                    <persName ref="pe0157">M<hi rend="superscript">r</hi> Macgovans
                        present</persName> is very elegant. I beg you to convey my best thanks.
                    &amp; please to inform me as soon as convenient of the exact height of the
                    little image the original. <rs ref="ar0065">The drawing</rs> seems to me larger
                    if I remember it.</p>
