Dear Sir
That many happy returns of this season may attend you is the united wish of this family.
I shall not trouble you with attending on the affair of the hollies which is made up on honorable terms. The
advertisement is gone to the post,1
& I hope the example will be followed by yr county. If I omit any atrititive
men it is thro' forgetfulness. Messrs Smalley & Co desire me to add a[...] declaration on their part to be printed at the foot of our advertisement. Let us be civil,
but firm.
