Dear Sir

I am very happy to hear of yr safe arrival &in town & hope to have many pleasant walks with you next month. I flatter myself that we shall meet about the 10th & so reserve all chat till that time. Moses ^Griffith1 & I have contracted for another two years & I shall bring him with me in order to be instructed, that he may do justice to our welch antiquities. [...]You & I will instantly walk to Mr Morris & see what he has. as to yr kind offer about books at present I have only to beg you wd look out for these two:2 they are sometimes to be met with single; but more frequently, bound with de Bry's other works which are too expensive. be so good as to take care of the note. if you go by Mr White's bookseller in Fleetstreet please to leave with him the inclosed carrier's receit.

Mr Forster may be heard of at Mr Lownds next door to Whites; He will deliver you the 2 last vols of Kalm. Bel & Davy join in complimts & I am Dear Sir

1. The name 'Griffith' is added in pencil, not in Thomas Pennant's hand.
2. The 'two' mentioned may have been named on the 'note' to which Pennant refers later in this letter. They could possibly be identified with the '2 last vols of Kalm' named in the final paragraph.
