Looking into an old book of arms lately, I found the colors of the arms which you observed on Penmynydd house – Gules, Chevron argent between three saxons heads coup’d proper: with these words, Edneved Vaughan; of him doe descend men of Penmynydd in Anglesey, and Others. –

Gules, chevron argent between three helmets. Tudur the son of Grono, of him doe descend Owain Tudur who married Queene Katherin of whom descended the late qQueene.1

I also ISaw there – [...]Azure, A Lion passant – guardant Or, armed gules, with these words; - Madoc Gloddaith, of him doe descend by marriage of his heirs female the Mostins of Flintshire.

Yswittan Wyddel, of him doe descend divers gentlemen in north-wales. –––– the last arms I fancy to have seen on some part of your house
