Letter

Dear Sir

Excuse the trouble of taking under yr charge the above books which will be sent for. accept also a copy for yr self. only if opportunity offers forward that to Mr Pope. Pray put the inclosed into the Post. I am much obliged to you for yr attention to the map & very happy to hear there is such zeal about scotch topography I believe I owe you some trifle before the subscription to the maps. Please to inform me. I am very happy in a letter from Mr Low. I hear he is much restored; but I gave him a strict caution about hazarding his health again by too strict an application.

I am at this instant uncertain whether White can publish my Br. Zool. this season by reason of the shameful delay of the Warrington Printer. The moment it comes out you shall have a set.

I am, Dear Sir, yr affect. humble Servt

Tho. Pennant.

Downing May 24th. 1776.
