Dear Sir

I am very negligent in respect to my Letters but that inclosed to you is for Doctor Ramsay. any account about the Saury will now be too late. You need not trouble yrself abt Mr Balfours catalogue. only should he have Wilkins Leges saxonicæ I should be glad of it. or Ballendines translation of Boethius: or the english black letter Froissart. I think the acct of Dornadilla’s Tower was in the St James’s Chronicle.1 I received Shaw, & Renfrewshire safe: & am indebted to you for them. As to magazines I wish for them only annually: for I lose them. Mr Grose now goes on with spirit after a long interruption by reason of other business. I heartily wish you many happy returns of this season

& am
Dear Sir
yr most obedt Servt

Tho. Pennant.

Be so good as to put the inclosed in the post.
