Dear Sir

Many many thanks for yr kind Letter of may 5th. The number of patients cured &c in yr infirmary is the thing wanted. If you can get at Sir James Dalrimples collection be so good as to transcribe from p.271. King William’s charter to Iona.1 if not too long. if so only an abridgement. I hope Mr Low & you are happy together. Pray deliver the inclosed to Mr Macintyre & the other Please to put in the post for by omission of N. Br. on the frank, I fear it will not from hence find its way.
