My best thanks for two favors. I am happy you got the books & shall be happier if they meet approbation. never trouble y^rself about the bird which I presume to be no other than my Manks Petrel. Be so good as to send both the inclosed to Doctor Ramsay. Should you meet M^r Macgovan be so good as to present my compliments & let him know how glad I should be to have a drawing of his little image, which you may inclose to me I wish to know where it was found.

I think I heard an instance of a coach [...] pannels being broke by y^r Heralds [...]r assuming wrong arms. I wish you [...]ould furnish me with the year it was done. also on what occasion & to whose coach.

Y^r third Letter with the agreable inclosure is this moment arrived.
