Dear Sir

Many thanks for yr favor &c. as to the abercrombie, yr master of the ship will not deliver it. I am amazed that Mr Lows draft has not reached me. pray inform him of it by return of post, for if it does not come while I am here, I must find some other way of sending the promised aid. This is a point of honor. I would by no means fail in. If His draft does not come I will send him one, which I wish had been done at first.

Be so good to Mr Ridpath’s London history. I can find no bookseller here that knows of it. He only wants names.

I am Dear Sir your faithfull H.S.

T Pennant.

London April 7th. 1774.

I stay here a little more than a fortnight.

I have got a Regiam majestatem. Yr Letter with the prints is just come. Yr printers take off Prints most wretchedly.
