I have just time to thank you for y^r favor of Jan. 10^th. & to say it will be needless to bustle y^rself ab^t the macleans; except there be something very remarkable.

If you can give me the oct^vo Edition of abercrombie I shall be glad & will pay you for that & magazines: but why do they persist in sending them.

About 130 pages of my 3^d edition q^to are printed.¹ The other will be soon ready I hope. Be so good as to read seal, & forward my letter to M^r Low.
