Dear Sir
an hour after my last Letter went one came from yr friend Mr Low of Orkney which pleased me much he offers his service freely & I dare say it will be of vast use. he speaks of a treatise of his that is soon to reach you. he permits me to have any extracts which I shall be happy to have when it reaches you. Inclose a Letter which I beg you would give my friend Mr Jackson of the Post office begging it may be sent by the first opportunity. if Mr Lows treatise is worth publishing I shall assist cheerfull [sic].
