all y^r pacquets are here & lay me under fresh obligations. I only lament the want of Letters to the Leadhills. my best complim^ts & thanks to M^r Clerk. let me beg more Letters to the S. E end of L. Lomond also to the east side to meet me at Glasgow the 7^th or 8^th of next month. I hope M^r Stuart will not disappoint me: & a good free draughtsman got. excuse me for not answering M^r Clerke’s Letter. I am partly uncertain whether he is in town. my best compliments to M^r Oliphant.
